ORIXX has been established in 2005 as a shipping investment company for container vessels of Leonhardt & Blumberg and bulk carriers of Orion Bulkers. Through ORIXX non-industry investors can participate directly in ship-owning, which enables them to benefit from direct investment in an asset class which has consistently outperformed equity markets over a long time-series, and which usually has a very low correlation with stock market indices.
When initiating new funds ORIXX profits from the close cooperation with these two traditional shipping companies. Their competence and long experience in the operation and chartering of such ship types is fully available to ORIXX. In connection with both directors' gained knowledge in structuring of shipping funds this constellation offers a great synergy potential.
The placement of the funds is exclusively done with direct investors or in cooperation with major banks.
Until today ORIXX has set up six funds with a total investment volume of approximately USD 160 million.
